Detoxing with Frozen Lemons!

Lemons on TreeI’ve been looking for a tasty way to DETOX my body from all those nasty things which accumulate inside!

Most of the detox programs I’ve found tend to be juice based or make you run to the bathroom a lot.

If I want my daughter to follow along, it can’t be anything which irritates her IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), so I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a long time for something which can be easily incorporated into foods, and which doesn’t taste nasty!

While cruising around Facebook one day, I came across a post titled: “Who in Their Right Mind Freezes Lemons?” which really caught my eye, so I clicked on it to read.

I loved the article so much that I messaged it to my daughter: “Organic lemons! We need to do this! This is for all of us for detox! It said it’s good for cysts too! I noticed this information was corroborated by a major drug manufacturer through many, many studies!”

I also just pinned to my Health and Wellness board on Pinterest, so everyone can see it!

Article:

How to do it?

All kinds of people are saying that the entire lemon should be used with nothing wasted.   Not only for the obvious health benefits but also for the amazing taste!

How?

Simple, take an ORGANIC lemon, wash it, and then put it in the freezer. Once it is frozen you get whatever is necessary to grate or shred the whole lemon without even peeling it first.

Then sprinkle it on your salad, ice cream, soup, cereals, noodles, spaghetti sauce, or whatever. No holds barred. What you will experience is that whatever you sprinkle it on will take on a taste you may never have experienced before.

Why would I do this? Because the lemon peel contains 5 to 10 times more vitamins than the lemon juice itself and the peel is the part that is usually wasted. Not only that, but the peel helps to get rid of toxins in the body.

But wait, there’s more. Lemon is effective in killing cancer cells because it is allegedly 10,000 stronger than chemotherapy.

This has not been revealed because there are people out there that want to make a synthetic, toxic version that will bring them huge profits.   Shades of Monsanto.

The good news is that the taste of lemon is pleasant and does not deliver the horrific effects of chemotherapy.

What’s bizarre is that people are closely guarding this fact so as to not jeopardize the income to those that profit from other’s illnesses.

Another interesting aspect of the lemon is that it has a remarkable effect on cysts and tumors. Some say the lemon is a proven remedy against all types of cancer.

It doesn’t end there. It has an anti-microbial effect against bacterial infections and fungi; it is effective against internal parasites and worms; it regulates blood pressure, which is too high; it acts as an anti-depressant; it combats stress and nervous disorders.

The source of this information, although not specifically named, is one of the largest drug manufacturers in the world. They further say that after more than 20 laboratory tests since 1970, the extracts revealed that it destroys the malignant cells in 12 cancers, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreas and that the compounds of the lemon tree were 10,000 times more effective than the product Adriamycin, which is a drug normally used chemotherapeutically in the world to slow the growth of cancer cells.

Even more, this type of therapy with lemon extract only destroys malignant cancer cells and does not affect healthy cells.

The process is simple: buy an ORGANIC lemon, wash it, freeze it, grate it, and put it on everything you eat.

Did I try it out myself?

Yes! It’s yummy! I highly recommend this!

I understand it needs to be organic lemons!! Living in a small town, we couldn’t find organic lemons here, so on a trip into a larger city, my daughter bought 6 of them at a natural food store.

Normally lemons might go bad in the fridge before they get all used, but freezing them keeps them for so much longer!

How did I prepare them?

I washed all of them since they were sticky and I didn’t know who had handled them… a good idea to prevent illness! Then I cut off each end down to where the fruit could be seen and popped them all into a freezer bag.

Did I like the taste?

Yes! I took one out today and grated it on my eggs with spinach. The combination of the lemon juice and the lemon zest was wonderful. I was a little wary, so I didn’t grate on too much, but now that I know it tastes so good, I’ll add it more liberally next time!

Even if you don’t believe in the detox properties outlined in the above article, the taste alone will win you over! Try it!

Alternatively I’m trying to use frozen sliced lemons in a hot tea:

Into a cup of hot water I put a few slices of frozen lemon, a good dollop of raw honey, frozen grated Ginger, 1 opened capsule of Turmeric powder and a couple shakes of pepper.

It tastes strange, but I’m drinking this as a detox/ immune booster and an anti-inflammatory for my joints.

PS: I’ve also added the grated lemon into a cup of hot water, added some grated ginger and some raw honey. Really good lemon tea! Yum!
